KATHLEEN (KAY) MCMILLAN Peacefully on December 16, 2006, Kathleen (Kay) McMillan passed away at Grace Hospital. Kay is survived by her son Bruce (Eleanor); grandchildren, Terry (Don) Niedermayer, Cheryl (Melvin) Parisian, Grant (Bea) Henderson, Colleen Henderson, Glen (Becky) Henderson, Brock (Heather) McMillan and Wes McMillan. As well, she is survived by great-grandchildren, Gord and Brian (Amanda) Niedermayer, Meagan and Aaron Parisian, Cass and Tiffanie Henderson, Catrina, Maureen and Kathleen Henderson and Kaleigh Henderson. She was predeceased by her husband Murray of 62 years; daughter Maureen Henderson, and great-grandson David Henderson. Kay was born in England in 1918 and came to Canada at the age of two. She has been a long time resident of St. James. Kay worked for many years at Eaton's in the Cash Office and Post Office until her retirement. Kay always loved to have her family around her. Many happy times were spent with family and friends at Dorothy Lake, Grand Marais and most recently at Victoria Beach. Kay loved to garden whether it was in her yard on Albany Street or at the family cottage. She was always a willing hand at her family's garden shop at Victoria Beach. While at Sturgeon Creek Retirement Residence, she looked forward to the monthly Time to Blossom' flower arranging. A celebration of Kay's life will take place on Friday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St. Special thanks to Dr. A. N. Schroeder for his care and compassion and to the staff and friends at Sturgeon Creek Retirement Residence.
