FLOYD HENRY SHELBY Floyd Henry Shelby, born May 14, 1906 in Lake Crystal, Minnesota, passed away at the Emerson Personal Care Home on December 18, 2006. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy; his two sons, Gordon (Edithe) and Glen (Sharon); and daughter Mitzi (Bruce) Borodenko. Grandpa will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Robin (Shawn) Jacobuzzi, Jeffrey Shelby, Derek Shelby, Jesse Knox, and Ginger Knox, as well as great-grandsons, Hunter and Braeden Jacobuzzi. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary-Jane Shelby; brothers, Dave, Bob, Roy, and Mike, and sisters, Agnes and Isla. Dad farmed all his life near Arnaud, retiring at 75 years of age. He and Mom moved to Dominion City in 1996, where they lived until health reasons forced Dad to be admitted to the Care Home in August 2004. Dad loved old time music and often spent his winter evenings playing banjo, mandolin, or violin for enjoyment. The family would like to thank the staff of the Emerson Personal Care Home for the wonderful care given to our Dad and Grandpa. The funeral service will be held at the Dominion City United Church on Thursday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m., with interment at the Dominion City Cemetery.
