Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON SETTEE (nee FOX) It is with great sadness and sorrow that our family announces the passing of Sharon Settee, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend on December 15, 2006 at 60 years of age. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Keith of 41 years; their children, James (Theressa) and Eileen (Gerry); grandchildren, Peter, Adrien, Madeline and Meghan. She also leaves to mourn her passing brothers, Rolly (Betty), Rodney (Elizabeth), Terry (Joy) and Douglas; sisters, Nancy, Barbara (Bruce) and Jeanine. She will also be deeply missed by her lifetime friends Ruthann and Gordon Long, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by her parents William Rodney and Bertha Fox; sister Constance Rae and nephew Terry Fox. Mom was born May 30, 1946 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The second youngest of nine children, Mom shared many fond memories with her brothers and sisters. Mom grew up in Fort Rouge attending Earl Grey Elementary School and Tec Voc High School. In 1965 Mom married her best friend Keith and was blessed with two children (James and Eileen). After a couple moves out west Mom and Dad settled into the Elmwood area to raise their children. Mom had a great zest for life. She enjoyed playing softball, fishing, camping, reading, bingo and going to the casino with her friends. Mom and Dad were blessed with 41 happy years together. They enjoyed each others company and always managed to keep laughter in the home even during the tough times. Mom enjoyed spending time with her children; attending school events, playing board games and watching us play our many sports, giving us her love and support. Mom also loved spending time with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Mom's working years took her in many different directions. Some of Mom's fondest places of employment were United Grain Growers, Westeel Rosco, Canada Post, Pollard Banknote and Convergys. Mom enjoyed her work and especially enjoyed the friendships she formed with her co-workers. Mom will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at CancerCare who looked after Mom; palliative nurses who made home visits as well as the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their loving care of our mother. As per Mom's wishes no formal service will be held at this time. A memorial ceremony celebrating Mom's life will be held in May for family and close friends.
