ALOJZ (LOUIS) PIKL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Pikl at 75 years of age, on December 18, 2006 at home surrounded by his loving, devoted wife Anna, John and his faithful companion Lucky. Louis leaves his beloved wife Anna and her children, John, Marie (Arthur); grandchildren, Brian, Teresa, Marissa and Jason. Louis leaves his children, Emil, Eddie and Anna and their families, also their mother Dina. He also leaves his brother Ivan and his sister Pepca in Slovenija and his sister Maria in Italy, his special nephew Boris and their families. Louis was predeceased by his parents as a young boy. Louis came to Canada in 1952 at the age of 21 and worked at numerous companies before starting his own business with Anna of Louie's Billiards on Henderson Highway in 1977 until their retirement in 1995. Louis and Anna enjoyed many trips back home to Slovenija and Poland. Louis became ill with diabetes and fought a tough, long battle; he lost both of his legs and continued to live at home under the care of his loving wife and her family. The pallbearers are his good friends, Branko Maligec, Branko Kranjc, Branko Kranjc Jr., Fred Kurnell, also his nephews, Harold Laube and Rick Rowinski. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME, 220 Hespeler Ave. Viewing one half hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Louis was known as the gentle giant with a rough voice, bright smile and a generous heart. We will love you and miss you forever. Rest peacefully.
