RUTH WOOD (nee GRAY) August 12, 1918 - December 5, 2006 Peacefully, Ruth passed away on December 5, 2006. Left to mourn her passing is daughter Carole; her husband Jim McCullough; their children, Sharon, John (Leah), Garth, Curtis (Sue); her deceased son Chuck's partner Marge Barnett (David) and her sons, Ted (Kelly), Tim, Todd, Tom, and Bruce. Her deceased son Gary's wife Carol Wood-Friesen (Lee) and Gary and Carol's children, Todd (Angela), Bonnie (Fraser McIntosh), and Jason (Mary Presley); 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mom loved to travel whether it was by ship, bus, or driving herself which she did until a few years ago. In mid-life, she learned to swim and successfully overcame her fear of water. When it came to crafts mom couldn't be beat, she could knit, crochet, and do bead work with the best of them. And, of course, we can't forget about her love of Bingo. Cremation has taken place and, as per her wishes, she has been laid to rest with her father, Tom Gray, in Brookside Cemetery. A service in honour of Ruth's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. January 8, 2007 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
