FRANCES (KAY) SMITH It is with great sadness that the family of Frances (Kay) Smith announce her passing on Friday, December 22, 2006 at Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband Henry James (Scotty) and her daughter Glenda. She will be missed by her son Nelson (Shirley) of Portland OR; granddaughters, Shawn (Ernie) of Luskville, PQ, Keri (David) of Portland, OR, Paislee of Winnipeg and great-grandchildren, Jason, Erik and Paeton. Frances, who was known as Kay to her family and friends, was born and raised in Winnipeg, attending Kelvin High School. She spent many years employed by the Veteran's Home on Academy Road, Princess Elizabeth Hospital and Deer Lodge Hospital. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Park Manor for their kind care. A memorial service will be held at Thompson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda St., Winnipeg, MB R2C 1L7.
