Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE BIEBER (nee PAULS) December 24, 1926 - December 22, 2006 It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that her family announces the passing of Katie Bieber, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She went home to be with her Lord and Saviour December 22, 2006. She died at the age of 79 years at Beacon Hill Lodge with her two children and two of her grandchildren by her side. Our mother was predeceased by her parents, all of her siblings, except her younger brother John (Marie) Wiebe, and numerous extended family members. She is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by her former husbands, Willie Oertel and family and Phillip Bieber. She leaves to mourn her memory, son Robert (Leslie) Bieber, and grandchildren, Jocelyn, Randi and Korri; daughter Irene (Lother) Talman, grandchildren, Michael and Christine (Peter) Couch, along with great-grandchildren, Celiese and Mark Talman, Joshua, Matthew and Noah Couch. Mom came to Canada in 1952 from the Ukraine via Germany. She worked at several jobs prior to retirement'. She lived to visit with her children and their children's children. She loved solitary activities, baking, the cottage at Jessica Lake, listening to various types of music (especially gospel), watching birds (wildlife), and celebrating each and every vibrant sunset. So grieve for me a while if you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust, It's only for awhile that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart, I won't be far away, for life goes on; So if you need me, call and I will come, Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near, And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All of my love around you soft and clear, And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say Welcome home . The family wishes to thank the kind, compassionate, loving and caring staff on the third floor at Beacon Hill Lodge. May God richly bless and reward all your efforts. We will miss you all. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hill Lodge, 190 Fort St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1C9.
