ALLAN GEORGE NORRIS Peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2006, Allan passed away surrounded by his family. Allan will be lovingly remembered by Susan, his wife of 61 years; daughter Janet; sons Larry (Karen) and Garth (Anne Marie); grandchildren Carly, Michael (Laura), Lysa and Daniel; brother Lloyd; sisters, Ruth (Ed) and Joyce; brothers-in-law Peter (Anne), Henry (Geraldine), Ed (Ruth); and sisters-in-law, Tillie, Helen and Annie. Allan was born in Morris, Manitoba in 1918 and served in the Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He went on to work for Manitoba Telephone System for 31 years before retiring in 1978. Viewing will take place this evening, December 26, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. West, Transcona with Rev Carol Fletcher officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Transcona Memorial Church or to a charity of choice.
