Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVINCENT ARTHUR JOHN HALL It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Vincent on December 24, 2006 at 92 years of age. He was predeceased by his father Arthur, mother Alice and son Connor in May 2000. Vincent is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Edna; children Marion (Louis) Konkin, Shannon Hall (Blake Edwards) of Toronto, Ontario and daughter-in-law Barb Hall; grandchildren Blair (Kieley) of Sanford, Manitoba, Darren and Kelly Hall, Tamira (Rob) Konkin-Garcia of Austin, Texas and Gord Konkin of Squamish, British Columbia and great-grandchildren Julia and Joaquin. Vince was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan to parents, Arthur and Alice on Sept 7, 1914. His parents emigrated from England in 1912 with a large extended family who eventually settled around Moose Jaw and Swift Current. Vince met his future wife Edna at Technical School in Moose Jaw. They were married in 1939 and raised their family there until 1959 when the CPR relocated his office to Winnipeg. He worked for CPR until his retirement in 1976. Vince and Edna then spent 28 years wintering in The Grove in San Juan, Texas and enjoyed traveling in Canada, United States and Europe. Dad lovingly took interest in the raising and care of his children and grandchildren. He loved his time at the family cottage in Lac du Bonnet working on various hobbies and other interests of which he was very passionate. Dad loved making candy, wine making, baking, boat building, making custom fishing equipment and woodworking. He had a variety of interests and always took the time to read and learn every facet of each of his hobbies. Vince and Edna square danced for over 40 years and made many life-long friends as a result. Dad was a Grandmaster in his Masonic Temple and was a steward for many years at John Black United Church. The family would like to especially thank Michelle Bilsky and Kildonan House for the loving care that they have given to Edna and Vince Hall in their time of need over the last two years. The family would also like to thank the Sharon Nursing Home for their care and attention to Vince's needs the last few months and to the Seven Oaks General Hospital Emergency Section for the care and compassion they showed to the family through an extremely stressful last few hours at the hospital.
