PHILIPPE PREFONTAINE It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend Philippe. Philippe died on December 21, 2006 at the age of 39. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Diane and Albert; brother Jean-Paul, wife Karen and new nephew Joseph; and sister Gabrielle and husband James. Philippe leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Philippe was predeceased by his grand-parents, Edmond and Lucienne (nee Sicotte) Préfontaine, Norman and Irene (nee Fremeau) Courtney; uncles, Rene Préfontaine, Gilbert Préfontaine and Jacqueline (nee Préfontaine) Roy and David Courtney. Philippe was born on March 27, 1967 in Rimouski, QC. He attended Loyola High School in Montreal and graduated from the Collegiate at the University of Winnipeg. Phil had a great love for music and books, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He had a very tender heart and liked to help others who were in need. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Fr. Peter Monty for being there. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CMHA Manitoba or to a charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church, located at the corner of Stafford and Corydon. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Safe in the arms of Jesus. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
