BRENT STEFANCHUK It is with deep sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of our son, brother, uncle and father Brent Stefanchuk at the age of 45. Brent was born in Selkirk, MB on November 12, 1961. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by Mom and Dad, Maurice (Moe) and Alice Stefanchuk; brothers, Don (Cara) and Ken (Lora); sister Donna. Greatest loss will be for Daddy's Girl , seven year old daughter BrenLee who adored her father. Also left to cherish his memory are Bonnie, Ari and Kelsey Riddell; nieces, Kerri, Marly, Jodi, Vicky and Halee, as well as many relatives and good friends. At a young age, Brent moved with his family to Gillam where he enjoyed many wilderness adventures with Dad and brothers. Many summers were spent camping and fishing with family or on his grandparents farm where he grew to love animals and country life. After moving back to southern Manitoba, he finished school in Steinbach and Selkirk. His interest in farm life took him through an Agriculture Diploma program at University of Manitoba. He then independently ventured into several agriculture related businesses which he successfully operated until his passing. Brent was always interested in horses and his dream was to own a ranch with lots of horses and various livestock. He lived his dream and was continually enhancing and adding critters to his beautiful ranch in Clandeboye. The ranch was enjoyed by a great many friends, relatives and clients. Although Brent was a big rough and tough cowboy, his gruff exterior enclosed the kindest and biggest heart. A memorial service will be held at Gilbart Funeral Chapels, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB on Thursday, December 28 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. A reception will follow at Clandeboye Community Hall. Interment will be a private ceremony at a later date If friends desire, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to BrenLee Education Trust Fund at the Cambrian Credit Union Ltd., 282 Main St., Selkirk, MB R1A 2P3. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
