Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE E. DYCK 1926 - 2006 Peacefully, on Christmas Eve morn at Boundary Trails Health Centre, our sister, auntie and friend, Katherine E. Dyck aged 80 years reached toward the gates of Heaven. Born October 10, 1926, Katie had just celebrated her 80th birthday. Katherine was born in Burwalde, MB to John P. Dyck and Tina (nee Enns) Dyck the second of seven surviving children. Though Katie never married she did spend a life of love and devotion to her childhood sweetheart, Ted Braun, stricken by polio. He predeceased Katie in 1987. Katie was a devoted member of the J.P. Dyck family. She was the life-long companion and caregiver to her parents. We remember Katie as determined, hard-working woman with a gentle and generous heart. Katie held strong traditional values that were firmly grounded in her faith and Mennonite upbringing. Katie will be greatly missed by sister, Irene Wallace of Brandon, brother, John and Erika of Winnipeg, brother, Don and Gloria of Winkler and nephew/son Darren and Karen as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Katie was predeceased by her brother-in-law Bill Wallace (1971), her parents, (1983) and (1990), brother, Peter (2000), his wife Joyce (2004), sister, Helen (Feb. 2006), sister, Josie and Frank L. Enns (May 2006). A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at the Grace Mennonite Church 1350 Pembina Ave. Winkler. Interment will follow at Winkler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, 400 280 Smith Ave., Box 767, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2L4 in her memory.
