JOAN G. SWAINSON (nee ISBERG) On December 23, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre, Joan G Swainson passed away at the age of 91 years after a short illness. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Walter in 1992 and her parents Kristbjorg Bjorgvin, brothers and sisters Anthony, Laura, Clara, Herman Martin and Emily. Joan leaves to mourn her son Ralph and wife Joan of Winnipeg, daughter Carol and husband Dennis Lisoway of Winnipeg, grandchildren, Brook of Connecticut, Brian and John of Kitchener, Ontario, Brent of Winnipeg, Cheryl (Blaine) Ottoson of Regina, Greg (Kathy) Lisoway of Medicine Hat, AB, great-grandchildren Chantelle, Christopher and Nathan of Regina, great-great-grandchildren Kaiden of Medicine Hat and Tatum of Regina. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joan was a member of the First Lutheran Church for over 40 years and sang in the choir for 20 years. She was also a faithful member of the FLCW. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006 at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St. with Pastor Michael Kurtz officiating. Private burial took place in Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Riverview Health Centre 3E for their kindness and support during Mom's illness.
