CATHELENE (KAY) A. LEAH 1913 - 2006 Cathelene Leah passed away suddenly and peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2006. Her last months were spent in the care of West Park Manor with some very special staff members. Kay was predeceased by her loving husband Benjamin Leah, her daughter Alice Ann Bracken and her sister Pat Allardyce. She is survived by her son William Leah (Pamela), five grandchildren, Susan (Blair Cameron), Melody (Michael Beattie), Sandra (Lorne Patterson), Benjamin Leah (Sandra), Heather (Jeff Greene) and 10 great-grandchildren of whom she was so proud. She is also survived by her longtime friend Nellie Duchak who she talked to daily for many years as well as her sister in law Irene Leah and numerous nieces and nephews. Kay was born on August 26, 1913 in Winnipeg and raised her family in St. James. She was an avid bowler within several St. James bowling leagues as well as participating in dart leagues. She was a proud member of the Air Canada Pionairs which enabled her to travel the world and to touch the lives of many people around the globe. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to all staff members at West Park Manor for their kind care. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
