Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDELPHINE DUBOIS (nee ROCAN) November 23, 1922 December 25, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is predeceased by her husband Ulysse (2001), and her son-in-law Allen (1989). She leaves to mourn her daughters Lena (Ray) Roy and Yvette Gregorash; four grandchildren: Angela (Saul), Jennifer (Shane), Jeremy (Kathy), Leanne (Bryan) and two great-grandchildren Jayden and Bret. She will be lovingly remembered by numerous relatives and friends. Delphine was born in La Broquerie, MB. to Emery and Ormeline Rocan. After her marriage to Ulysse Dubois they lived most of their life in St. Malo, MB. Delphine had a special gift as a care giver and spent most of her working life helping others. Mom touched and blessed many people with her genuine compassion. She worked as a home care giver, and also in a group home for people with special needs. Mom loved to work in her garden and had a green thumb when it came to flowers. She loved to play cards and did not like to lose! She loved singing, music and reading her bible. Walking was a great joy for her as it allowed her to connect with nature. Delphine had a deep faith in God. He was her guide and companion. She instilled in her family a strong work ethic, the importance of a sense of humor, and faith in God. She touched all with her patience, kindness and unconditional love. She had a Joie de vivre and loved having company you always felt welcomed in her home. Sincere gratitude to staff at Foyer Valade for their compassion and care. And also for the kindness shown to us by the attending nurses at the Victoria Hospital. We would like to offer our sincere appreciation to Pastor and Sister Birdwell for their prayers, kindness and support, for coming to pray with mom at 5:00 a.m, and for your visits throughout the day to encourage us. For Carmelle, your prayers were our strength. For being there. Thank you. A Celebration of Delphine's life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. (Hwy #1 East and Navin Rd.) Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Delphine's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6. In His Footsteps When someone does a kindness It always seems to me That's the way God up in heaven Would like us all to be For when we bring some pleasure To another human heart We have followed in His footsteps And we've had a little part In serving Him who loves us For I am very sure it's true That in serving those around us We serve and please Him too.
