GEORGE MARTIN CROY Passed away peacefully on December 26, 2006 at Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall at 99 years of age. George was born in South Whitley, Indiana, April 12, 1907. He came to Canada with his parents in 1909, was raised in the Good Hope district, farming there for 49 years. He married Helen McDonald in 1930. They retired to Stonewall in 1978. Helen predeceased him in 1979. In 1980 he married Mary Good. They enjoyed 20 years together, traveling to many interesting places. Mary predeceased him in 2000. Left to mourn is his daughter Jean (Ron) House of Lethbridge, AB.; his son Keith (Helen) Croy of Parksville, B.C.; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also, one brother Tom (Helen) Croy, sister-in-law Doris Croy, plus many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, one sister and two brothers. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Stonewall United Church with interment to follow at Victoria Cemetery in Balmoral. Flowers gratefully declined.
