GEORGE HIROSE May 18, 1921 - December 24, 2006 It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of George Hirose peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on December 24, 2006 at the age of 85 years. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 59 years Kinue Kiko Hirose, his two sons Geoffry (special family friend , Barbara Read) and Stanley (his wife Bette Meek), his grandson Grant and grand daughter Jocelyn. his brother Takeo and his sister Yoshiko. Parents father, Tojuki, mother, Chiye. George leaves behind many loved grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends. A celebration of George's life will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Saturday, December 30 at 12:30 p.m.. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to the Manitoba Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. We wish to extend our deep appreciation to family, friends and the staff of Vista Park Lodge, Misericordia Cornish 5 and Victoria Hospital for their outstanding care, support and compassion.
