HAROLD MOSLEY August 6, 1915 - December 26, 2006 Peacefully on December 26, 2006 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB, Harold Mosley, aged 91 years, of Ashern, formerly of Grahamdale, MB. Harold was born and raised in the Grahamdale District where he farmed almost all his life. He loved animals, especially horses, and often served as a vet in the surrounding area. For thirteen years he delivered mail from Grahamdale to the post offices at Steep Rock and Faulkner. Harold loved to dance and was usually the last to go home. His love of dancing and old time music sometimes took him to Saturday night socials as far south as Oak Point, MB. He served as a board member of the Grahamdale United Church, was a former member of the Interlake Pioneers and an honorary member of the Ashern Leisure Club. As his health failed, Harold moved to Ashern where he enjoyed having coffee at the cafe , bowling at Pioneer Manor, visiting the home farm occasionally and listening to CBC radio news and Saturday night Polka Party. In 2005, a tribute was made to Harold and his friend, Mary, by the Ashern Museum Board for their contributions to the area and attendance at the Thresherman's Reunion. Harold was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Florence Mosley, his wife Ruby and former friend Christine Scullen. He is survived by brother Edward (Eva) of Winnipeg, niece Karen (Gary) Bond, nephew Keith (Diane) Mosley and great nieces Meghan, Emily and Veronica, great nephew Brendan, step-son James Donovan and his special friend Mary Burnett. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at the Faulkner Community Hall with Reverend Stan Fowke officiating. Interment to follow in the Faulkner Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital for the care they gave Harold. They would also like to thank the Homecare workers for their visits to his home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grahamdale United Church Fund, in care of Jenny Sander, PO Box 39, Faulkner, MB R0C 0Y0 or a charity of one's choice.
