EVELYN (EVA) GISLASON (nee CHERNETSKY) 1908 - 2006 Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, Granny went home to be with her newly found Lord. Born in Poplar Park on June 2, 1908, Granny spent much of her adult life caring for others. She loved to make perogies, lemon meringue pies, donuts and nothings. She loved tending to her garden, and gave away most of what she grew to her family and friends. Our plucky Granny will be missed. She was predeceased by her husband Gisli in 1970 and her son Harold in 1968. Left to remember Granny are her daughter-in-law Barbara; grandchildren, Dale (Bernice), Heather (David Puls), Daryl (Cindy); great-grandchildren, Keith (Judy), Colin (Niki), Kourtnay (fiancé Trent Kemsley), Brittany, Carina Puls, Jayson, Katelyn Puls; several nieces, nephews and friends. Our family appreciates the care extended to Granny by Calvary Place staff. We are thankful for your touch in her life. Funeral service to be held today, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy. Interment at St. Vital Cemetery.
