LORRAINE PETRASKO (nee SKIBA) July 30, 1935 December 27, 2006 On December 27, 2006 at her home, Lorraine Petrasko passed away suddenly at the age of 71. She was predeceased by her Father and Mother, John and Nellie Skiba. She was a loving wife, dear sister, aunty and friend to many. She leaves to mourn, her husband Rudy of 52 years, and the family cat. Sisters; Elsie (Edward) and Margie (Eric), brothers; Mike (Dorette) and Eddie (Janice), and numerous nephews and nieces. Lorraine and Rudy worked hard all their lives in their market gardening business. She took great pride in her vegetable fields and green houses with the many beautiful bedding lands. Lorraine enjoyed playing bingo at the Club Regent. Everyone was always welcome in her home. Lorraine liked to entertain and was a great cook. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Lorraine's memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation: Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba 6 Donald Street Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Gerhardt Friesen on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. December 30 at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with reception to follow. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
