DAVID JOHN ROLLAND Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, December 29, 2006, David John Rolland passed away at the Selkirk District General Hospital. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years Val; son David Chuck (Shirley); daughter Jody Elliott; grandchildren Kristjan (Melissa), Kerri and Karla Rolland and Michael (Danielle),Tia and Raelyn Elliott; and great-granddaughters, Taylor Elliott and Angela Rolland. Also left to mourn are his mother Grace Rolland, step-sisters Mary-Anne (Paul) Preyma, Theresa Crerar (Matt); brothers Morris (Jackie), Richard (Joan), Brian (Cookie), Neil, Vernon and Leslie Rolland. David was predeceased by an infant son Kirk, father Richard Dick Rolland and his sisters Beth and Linda. He will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with David's wishes, cremation has taken place a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association in David's memory.
