Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILE MELNYCHUK (nee BOURBONNIèRE) Peacefully, with her children and family members by her side at Health Sciences Centre on December 29, 2006, Cecile Adeline left to be with her Lord. Cecile was born to Adelaide (nee Larivière) and Origène Bourbonnière on June 3, 1923 in the R.M. of Ste Rose du Lac, MB. She was predeceased by her husband David in 2004. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Lise, son Dean (Nancy), brother Noël (Eva), sister Marie (Albert), loving grandchildren Michael, Bradley and Stephanie, and many members of her extended family. Cecile worked a wide variety of occupations over her lifetime. Following a period away from the workforce to raise her children, she kindled a passion for winemaking and eventually returned to work at one of the first winemaking stores in Winnipeg. She went on to work briefly at St. Amant Centre, caring for patients. Her true calling would come soon after, when she learned to perform massage therapy, specializing in foot massage. She helped many people over the course of almost 30 years. Later in retirement, Cecile and David would both take great pleasure in caring for their grandchildren. The family extends thanks to the staff at HSC who provided care and comfort in her last days. Prayers will be held Monday January 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua, 255 Burrin St, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens and Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Amant Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
