EVELYN DOROTHY WACKMAN On Friday, December 22, 2006, at the Grace Hospital, Evelyn passed away at the age of 93 years. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Bill of Vancouver, BC and Harold and grandchildren, Laura and Tom of Washington, DC. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years of marriage, Al, in 1999. Most of Evelyn's life was lived in Winnipeg, but she spent extended periods in the U.S., particularly Arizona, with her husband. They also enjoyed many summers at the cottage they built at Clearwater Bay, ON. Evelyn had various secretarial positions, including; Robinson Little, Canadian National Railways and the University of Manitoba. In her younger years, she and her husband enjoyed paddling at the Winnipeg Canoe Club and skiing. In compliance with Evelyn's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Our family would like to express a special thanks to the Home Care workers and the staff of Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
