HOMER HENRY RIVEST Mr. Homer Rivest, born in Mariapolis, MB on February 14, 1919, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006 in the Beausejour Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy (nee Williams), son David (Jeannine) Rivest of Winnipeg, daughter Diane (George) Glowasky of Fort Frances and adopted daughter Michelle (Ernie) Brunetta of Fort Frances. Homer was predeceased by their son Richard, his mother Anna, his father Alfred and numerous brothers and sisters. Homer earned his living as a mechanic working in Winnipeg until his retirement at which time he and Dorothy moved to Anola, MB where he continued to perform vehicle repairs from his home until his later years. Also surviving Homer are his grandchildren, Shawn, Dayna, Cory, Kyle, Travis, Ashley, Daniel and great-grandchildren, Codey, Devin, Eric, Timothy, Tatum and Jacob. The family would like to thank the Home Care workers and nurses who provided dad with their assistance for the last several months. A special thanks to their close friends and neighbours, Harley and Eleanor Giesbrecht for all of their help and support. Flowers are gratefully declined.
