MURIEL FRASER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Muriel Phyllis Fraser, on Friday, December 29, 2006 at the Boyne Lodge in Carman, her home for the past eight years. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bury on June 23, 1998. She leaves to mourn her loss, daughters, Sherrie and Rudy Janzen, Penny and Nick Masniuk; grandchildren, Terra, Ryan and Joel; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Barry Johnston; sister-in-law Dolly Hamilton; and nieces, nephews and friends. Mom spent a large part of her married life on Coventry Road in Charleswood. She was the bookkeeper for our Dad's landscaping business. She worked for many Christmas seasons with her good friend Mary Bailey at Canada Post sorting all their Christmas mail, and later she worked in the health care field. Mom loved to cook. Everyone remembers her Sunday dinners. She loved to garden. Mom had beautiful flower gardens and grew all the vegetables we ever needed. She especially loved Christmas. Mom shopped and baked for months in advance to make it a special time for her family and friends. Our parents made many good friends during their time in Charleswood. They loved to spend time with them dancing (and boy could they dance) singing, playing cards and having lively conversations. Many thanks to the caregivers at Boyne Lodge for taking good care of Mom through her difficult years. Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. An informal gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. at the Reception Centre, in Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements are entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Reception Centre 885 - 9715
