ARLENE SMITH April 7, 1937 December 24, 2006 It is with great sadness that the family of Arlene Patricia Smith announce her passing on Sunday, December 24, 2006 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 69, after a courageous struggle with cancer. Arlene was predeceased by her parents, John and Queenie Burns, and her oldest son Russell Smith. Left to mourn her passing, her husband of 49 years Don, her son Jim and wife Cathy Smith and their daughter Kendra and son Brandon, her daughter Holly and husband Tony Musto and their son Alexander, her sister Muriel (Harold Frederickson), her brothers Dick (Fran) and family, Tom and family, Ron (Sue) and family, Ed (Betty) and family, Les, Bob and family, and many aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of our families, too numerous to mention she loved and enjoyed them all. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance and reception will take place Saturday January 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church, 205 Roseberry Street in St. James. If friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made to Palliative Care Hospice MB N119-2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3 or to Special Olympics MB Inc., 200 Main St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4M2.
