He was predeceased by his wife Emily Victoria in 1973. Moe attended Lord Selkirk School, as well as St. John's Tech. After completing school, he served four and one half years in the Army overseas with Canadian Postal Core, he later became superintendent of the postal carriers. Moe was a member of the Optimist Club of Assiniboia since 1974 and became the professional photographer of the Optimist Club and looked after the Christmas Tree lot for them for many years, as well as attended many conventions. Moe was one of the most likeable persons you could meet, he always had a smile for you, a friendly greeting and great supporter for children's needs. Moe was special in many ways and he will be missed. Moe loved his mother as much as anyone could. Moe had no money when his mother was dying in Health Sciences Centre and walked from Elmwood to the Hospital and back each day to see her. He rode the rails to pick tobacco for $5.00 a day in Ontario and helped with the harvest in Saskatchewan during the Depression. He enjoyed travelling, trips to Hawaii and Australia were some of his favourites. Moe considered Deer Lodge his home and the staff his family. Many thanks is extended to all the doctors and staff of T4 Deer Lodge for loving and caring for Moe during his time with them. Donations may be sent to The Optimist Club of Assiniboia, ATTN: Don Webb, 496 Raquette St., Winnipeg, MB R3K 1N3.
