Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERTRUDE (GERTIE) VICTORIA HOPKINS (nee CROSSMAN) Born on May 26, 1919 in Balcarres, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully December 24, 2006. Her life was one of unconditional love for her family and she will be sadly missed. She is survived by her three children, Judy Pitsanuk, Heather Hallet, Anthony Hopkins, their partners and spouses, eight grandchildren, and her brother Ron Crossman and his wife Betty of Balcarres. A memorial service will be held at Meadowood Manor Nursing Home, 577 St. Annes Rd. at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2007. Gertie will be interred at a later date at a private ceremony in Balcarres, Saskatchewan, where she will join her parents and sisters. A special thanks to the staff of Meadowood Manor for their care of Gertie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Meadowood Manor.
