Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE ROCHE (Nee MacKinnon) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Irene, on December 26, 2006 after a short illness. Irene was born in Winnipeg on March 6, 1928 to Hugh and Kay MacKinnon. She met and married Martin Roche and together they raised their six children in Winnipeg. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Kay MacKinnon; her loving husband, Marty; her sister, Dorothy Burns; and her youngest son, Timothy. Left to mourn Irene's passage are her sister, Lorna Hoffman of California; her daughter, Lynne Lechner (Roger Minkus); her sons, Dan Roche (Leah), Jordon Roche (Cindy), Hugh Roche (Sharon Cousineau), Pat Roche (Rae Jones); her grandchildren, Chris Roche (Diane Sluis), Janine Garcea (Vince), Brent Lechner, Reid Lechner, Tricia Roche, John Roche, and her great-grandchildren, Juliano Garcea, Jesse Sluis Roche and Natalie Garcea. Irene greatly enjoyed her senior years, travelling and gaming with friends and was an active member of the Paradise Village community in Ste. Anne's, Manitoba. The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Ste. Anne's Hospital who looked after not only our mother, but us as well. Their compassion will always be remembered. A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
