KENNETH JOHNSON (Cowboy) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Cowboy on Christmas Day at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 84. Ken was born in Calgary on August 31, 1922. He spent his early years in foster homes and at the age of 15 he hit the trail never looking back. He spent many years riding with the rodeo in Canada and the United States. He also worked on construction of the Trans Canada Highway and as a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Lines. Ken had a deep love of and concern for animals, especially horses. He was always delighted to be out in the country anywhere near a farm or ranch. Ken will be deeply missed by his long time companion Marsha Roscoe of Winnipeg and her family and by his close friend Leroy Jordette of Calgary. He will also be missed by his many friends at Bluebird Lodge where he resided for many years. Special thanks to the staff of 4 East at the Deer Lodge Centre for their kindness to Ken during his time there. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Bluebird Lodge, 97 Keewatin St., on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Scott MacAuley officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Alberta. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
