MICHAEL LESCHYSHYN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Michael Leschyshyn. Michael Mike passed away on December 22, 2006 at the age of 76 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Mary; sisters Olga, Ann and brother Joe; his children, Larry of Poplarfield, MB., Sharon of Calgary, AB., and Leonard (Janice) of St. Paul, Minnesota, U.S.A.; grandchildren Brendan, Benjamin and Brittany of Winnipeg, MB., Tracy of Iqualuit, Kurtis of Arborg, Shauna of Winnipeg, MB., Ashley and Jamie of St. Paul, Minnesota. He was predeceased by his father Stanley Leschyshyn in 1972. Mike left home at the early age of 15 and worked in a bush camp in Northern Ontario. After spending a few years there, he decided to move to Alberta where he apprenticed in auto mechanics while working for General Motors in Edmonton. After he completed his apprenticeship, he moved to Poplarfield where he operated Mike's Esso Service. He purchased his family farm and farmed until 1973. He was then employed by Co-op Implements, where he worked until retiring in 1989. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Arborg Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Poplarfield Community Centre in Poplarfield, MB. Interment to follow at Chatfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society or a charity of your choice. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
