BEATRICE ELLA LINDENBERG With appreciation for the gift of a generous and gentle soul who shared our lives for almost 82 years, the family would like to announce the passing of Beatrice Ella Lindenberg on Christmas Eve, 2006 in the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Bea was born on January 14, 1925 to parents Stanley and Dorothy Fuller in Rapid City, Manitoba and lived most of her adult life in Brandon as the wife of Bruno William Lindenberg. Her family was at her side when she finally left us. Bea is survived by her children Eric, Carla (Robert) and Brian (Maria); grandson Glen; sister Grace and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her young son Douglas and eleven brothers and sisters. Bea was an avid gardener and active participant in the Lindenberg family seed business, a role that she combined with the duties of mother and housewife. As a young mother she put wonderful meals on the table, filled the cookie jar, put up pickles and canned fruit, managed the mail order paperwork and still found time for more than the occasional round of golf. Time set aside for friends was important throughout her life, especially for the bridge bunch. When partnered with her sister Grace and given half decent cards, they made a formidable pair at the bridge table. She strove to instill in her children the fundamentals of sound moral principles, respect for others and a love of learning. She taught by example. We are grateful for the lessons. The family would like to thank the staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre who cared for her so compassionately these last several weeks. A memorial service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street today, Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood of Central United Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made by friends if they so wish to the Heart Stroke Foundation, Unit 3-824-18th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 5B7. Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com. Arrangements are in care of Brockie Donovan, 727-0694.
