ARMAND (TICOQ) BERTHELETTE August 20, 1925 December 28, 2006 Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with many illnesses and surrounded by his family, Dad left us for a new life, free of pain. Dad was predeceased by his parents Paul and Ida, brother Romeo, sister Adrienne and son-in-law Wade Olford. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife Eva (nee Fontaine), his mother-in-law Clotilde Bruneau (104 years old), his five children: Diane (Alan Davis), Doreen, Jacques (Heather), Gerald, Norman (Kim), his loving grandchildren: Jennifer Davis, Rachel Eagleton (David), Jaret Olford (Melanie), Brian Olford (fiancee Melanie Gagnon), Michael Olford (Tiffany Proulx, her children Delyka and Sadies), Kyle and Ryan Berthelette, Nicholas Robinson and great-granddaughter Prairie Olford, and very close family friends Clayton Pelletier, Pauline Paton, Brittany Garrioch, Yolande Cossette and Paula Greer. Armand is also survived by sisters Therese Fontaine, Alice Finney, Flore Combot, Marina Mustonen, Eveline Ritchot (David), Yvette Berthelette, Paulette Daigneault, sister-in-law Jeanne Berthelette and brothers Marcel (Pauline), Richard (Bernadette), Aurele (Carrie) and Claude, and also many brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Aubigny, Manitoba, Dad left the farm and held numerous jobs. He spent the greater part of his working life as a professional autobody painter. Due to illness, Dad retired at the age of 55. Dad treasured the many years spent in St. Malo. These are memories that will be forever cherished by family and friends. Every fall Dad looked forward to hunting season. Many a meal was shared by all. The family would like to thank Gerry and Alice L'Heureux for their help during the many years at St. Malo and for their continued love and support through the many years. Flowers and cards are gratefully declined. Donations can be sent to Siloam Mission, our favourite charity, 300 Princess St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3, in Dad's memory. At Dad's request, cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in the St. Boniface Cathedrale, 190 rue de la Cathedrale, Winnipeg, MB at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald St., Winnipeg, MB.
