WILLIAM (BILL) ISAAC ENNS

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) ISAAC ENNS After several years of suffering the effects of Alzheimer's disease and a year spent at Deer Lodge Hospital, he left us to join his Lord on December 29, 2006. He would have been 83 years old on Monday, January 1. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Marie, on December 24, 2000. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Gary (Jan), Brad (Carol), and Denise, grandchildren, Lisa (Jock), Marcus (Cynthia), Leigh, Joel (Meghan), Josh, and Connor, and great-grandchild, Ava, also by his former daughter-in-law June. He is survived by brothers, Andrew, Victor, Ken, sisters, Nancy, Susan, and many nieces and nephews. He was loved by all. Bill grew up in Greenfarm north of Winkler, MB and, as a conscientious objector, served initially as an orderly at a Portage mental hospital and finally overseas as a medic in the Second World War. After the war he became an architect graduating from the University of Manitoba. He earned the respect of many people that knew him as the Winnipeg School Division architect for 30 years. It is said he was a talented and inspired architect, ahead of his time. He retired in 1984. He was, and remained active in Bethel Mennonite church for many years. He loved golfing and enjoyed bowling and curling for as long as he was able. The family wish to express their gratitude for the kindness and consideration in the care of their father and grandfather to Catherine (care attendant) and also the staff of Deer Lodge hospital. Remembrances may be made to Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, Unit 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
