SARAH ISABELL ANNE CLARK 1907 - 2006 Sarah Isabell Anne Clark passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at the Foyer Notre Dame. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles, and by an infant son, Dalton; by her parents, Tom and Dora Good; and by siblings Dorothy, Harold, Harry, and Lorne. The eldest of her family, Anne was born at Stockton, Manitoba. She moved with her family at an early age to a farm in the Boyne Creek area. Honouring her parents by choosing the same anniversary, she married Charles Leslie Clark on December 26, 1931. Together, Anne and Charlie farmed in the Centreville District until their retirement to Treherne in 1967. For many years, Anne was a weekly correspondent to the Treherne Times, documenting for Centreville families their celebrations and milestones. She was an active supporter of the St. Mark's Anglican Church and enjoyed membership in St. Mark's Women's Auxiliary. Her interests included baking and preserving, and for decades, she was recognized for hundreds of winning entries at the Treherne, Holland, and Macgregor summer fairs. With her husband, Anne cultivated extensive gardens both on the farm and at their town property. Many celebrations to mark family birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries were hosted by Anne over the years. She took pride in her extensive collection of fine china cups and saucers, some of which would be drawn out for tea with special friends. Anne and Charlie always emphasized, to their children, the importance of completing high school and going on to further education and training, as they themselves had been denied that opportunity years earlier. Anne is survived by her four children and their spouses: Zelda Yeoman (Tom) of Calgary, Garry Clark (Ollie) of Dufresne, Sheilah Land (Robert) of Winnipeg, and Colleen Miller (Garry) of Brandon. She also leaves ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. As well, she is survived by her brother, Victor Good (Olive) of Treherne; her sister, Mona Coleman of Ottawa; and by her sister-in-law, Stella Good of Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Treherne United Church. Rev. W. Marsh will officiate. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery. On-line-condolences may be made at www.budz.ca As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Anne's memory to the Bethel Cemetery Committee, in care of Coral Jones, Treherne, MB, R0G 2V0.
