JAKE L. ABRAMS December 29, 1914 December 24, 2006 It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Jake L. Abrams on Sunday, December 24, 2006. Dad would have celebrated his 92nd birthday on December 29, 2006. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 67 years Susan; his children, Jean (Henry); Shirley (Martin); Robert; Verna (Marcel); Sharon; sister Anne MacDonald; as well as numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son James (Lucy) in 2001. Dad was born in Amsterdam, Manitoba and lived in the surrounding areas for 57 years. In 1972 he moved to Calgary to pursue his western dreams. He will be remembered as a hard working, caring and quiet individual who was always ready to give a helping hand. To celebrate Dad's life, family and friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 2, 2007, at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. G. Law as well as the staff of the Peter Lougheed Hospital and the George Boyack Personal Care Home for their care and compassion.
