MARGARET CLARE WILLIAMS 1951 2006 To her friends and family, Marg was always sweet and generous. One small gesture of kindness to her, would be returned threefold. She gave gifts that were very thoughtful; the perfect gift was always beautifully wrapped. Christmas was her favourite time of the year. Marg, (like a cat), loved to sit in the sun, do crossword puzzles, weed her garden and make beautiful things for her home. She was always changing the placement of her furniture, and the colour of her hair! When you went to visit her, you never knew where the couch would be moved. Her home was very important to her; her refuge, and she made it as pleasant and beautiful as possible. Marg was a very hard worker and for awhile, ran her own cleaning business. She worked for many years as a food demonstrator and she would tell us very funny stories about dealing with customers who felt they deserved a free meal. For a while, she was the supervisor of the food demonstrators and she was very well liked, and respected by the staff. She was a superb pastry cook and to receive one of her apple pies or some of her famous butter tarts was always a treat. Marg liked to dress fashionably (with a Western twist!), she was attractive and sexy. Her friends called her Daisy and she was very like that flower; modest and pretty. She was our baby sister, our best friend. Suddenly on December 30, 2006 at Concordia Hospital our beloved sister passed away. She is survived by her daughter Linda Clark (Rob); grandchildren, Zoe and Elliot; her sisters, Pat Downey (Jim), and Suzanne Gillies; nephews, Chris Downey (DeDe), and Josh; nieces, Megan and Hannah, and her special friend Bill Culleton. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Laura Gillies. The family would like to especially thank Kim Webster and her parents for being there for Marg. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 18 Main St., Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marg's memory may be made to CancerCare, MB or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
