Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I was a friend of the family’s late daughter and sister, Janet at St. Paul’s College at U of M. In our third and last year at St Paul’s we wrote our last exam on the same day and celebrated at a local pub and restaurant with other friends. I drove her home afterward on my motorcycle and let her off a block away so she wouldn’t get any flack at home. Her next in order brother was a fraternity brother of mine in DKE. Janet was Freshie Queen at St Paul’s. I admired her beautiful, calm graceful demeanor. To everyone at school I was known as Louie. Janet and I both had summer jobs to go to. I was devastated to hear of her passing. I came across Janet’s mom Maria’s obituary and was struck by how beautifully similar they looked to each other. In my St. Paul’s yearbooks there’s many pictures of Janet. I have pointed her out to my kids as the girl I loved way back when. I think of her often and wish to send my best wishes to the family. - Posted by: Brian Paterson (Neighbor) on: May 16, 2021
