I. A. KATHERINE CLAGGETT January 30, 1934 January 2, 2007 Surrounded by the love of family and friends, Katherine gave up her valiant struggle with Ovarian Cancer on January 2, 2007. Predeceased by her husband Pat, her love of life and all things in it will be remembered by her son Kirby and children, Ryan, Sean and Courtney; daughter Colleen (Raymond) and children, Brett and Kassi, and daughter Shannon (John) and children, Meghan and Adrienne; her sister Lorraine (Milton), and brother Bruce (Geri), along with many cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and their families. Katherine's spirited personality shone through in her sumptuous and lovingly tended gardens and her fierce loyalty to family, friends and animals. Her passion was education. She thoroughly enjoyed her many years teaching at Boyne View School, She continued her love of learning through the many gardening, and quilting classes and shows she attended. She often combined her love of nature, family and friends with travel to many countries. Funeral services, Carman United Church, Saturday January 6, 2007, 2:00 p.m. Viewing Doyle's Funeral Chapel, Carman, Friday, January 5, 2007, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Boundary Trails CancerCare, Winkler, MB or to Carman Hospital Palliative Care.
