Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN ELIZABETH RICHARDSON (nee RUMBELL) Surrounded by her loving family, Jean peacefully passed away on January 2, 2007. She will be forever cherished by her daughter Patricia (Dale); and sons, John (Donna), David (Iris) and Terry (Sherry); grandchildren, Paul, Chris, Jenny, Graeme and Violet; great-grandchildren, Paige, Ella, Emma, Alexis, Ryland and Joshua; sister-in-law Patricia Rumbell in England and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Del, her parents George and Jennie Rumbell, her brother George and numerous additional relatives. Jean was born in London, England on September 19, 1922. She met Del during the war and they were married September 21, 1942. Jean came to Canada as a war bride in April 1946 and together with Del raised their family in Rivercrest. She was an active member of the Rivercrest United Church and UCW, and was also a long time volunteer with Age and Opportunity. Jean was a wonderful, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed many lasting friendships within the community. She took great pleasure in her family and their activities. She loved gardening, baking, travel, curling and camping in her younger years, and had a passion for knitting, especially for all the babies. A celebration of Jean's life will be held at Rivercrest United Church on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at a later date. The family would like to thank the Kildonan Medical Centre and staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rivercrest United Church Memorial Fund, 4249 Main St., West St. Paul, MB, R4A 2A7, or to a charity of your choice. God bless you Mom. Rest in peace.
