Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY LOUISE HIEBERT (nee SIEMENS) Peacefully, on January 1, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer, Betty Louise Hiebert, at age 77 years was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Betty was a loving wife of 49 years to Edward Hiebert who predeceased her in 2002. Together with Edward she had two children, Garry (Donna) and Randy (Lynn); and her grandchildren, David (Carla), Jordan and Carl whom she always referred to as her little angels. She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Margareta Siemens; brothers, John, Jake and sister Katie Kliever. She leaves to mourn sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were always welcome in her home. Mom was born April 1, 1929 in Pigeon Lake, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband Edward, with whom she shared her life's journey. Mom was a devoted wife, mother, Oma and auntie of which her greatest enjoyments were her family and friends. Our family would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the care provided by St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit and to the Kildonan Personal Care Centre where, during her two year journey, the entire staff provided not only care, but love and compassion to Mom and the entire family. The family would also like to express our sincerest appreciation to Ed Zloty, Betty's special friend, for his love and devotion during Mom's most difficult period. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street, Winnipeg, with viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations can be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5K9.
