MARGARET HELENA BURNETT Margaret was born July 14, 1919 in Waskada, Manitoba to Gustav and Mary Neumann and passed away peacefully at the Vista Park Lodge in Winnipeg on December 31, 2006. Her husband Cecil passed away in 1972 and her son David in 1998. Margaret is also predeceased by her sisters, Augusta (Gussy) and Elsie, and her brothers, Charles and Henry. Margaret and Cecil farmed at Coulter, Manitoba for many years, raising five children. Margaret was an active member of the Coulter community until moving to Brandon after Cecil's death. She rode horses and played sports in her younger years, and she always enjoyed watching baseball, hockey, curling and golf. Margaret will be remembered with love by her family for her many good qualities, including her abiding sense of humour and the quick wit that always made her the family Trivial Pursuit champion. Margaret will be missed and appreciated by a large extended family, who knew her fondly as Maggie . Margaret is survived by her sister Marion Loucks, and by four children: her sons, Laurie, Richard and Michael, and her daughter Lynda Bobiak. Eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews will remember the keen interest she always took in their lives. Special thanks to the staff of Vista Park Lodge for their care. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6 A celebration of Margaret's life will be held 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 6 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (Aubrey Street entrance).
