ROLAND ANTHONY ABBORS C.D. On Monday, January 1, 2007, following a valiant battle with cancer, Roland passed away at the Portage General Hospital, surrounded by his family, at the age of 69 years. Left to mourn his passing are: his wife of 48 and one-half years, Marianne; daughter Susan Abbors, of Winnipeg; son John Abbors (Leona) of Portage; daughters: Judy Jefferies (David) of Portage and Lorraine Roberts (Kevin) of London, ON; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also one sister Mimi Symes (Wayne) of Edmonton, AB and one brother Karl Abbors of Gabriola Island BC; step-mother Vieno Abbors of Gabriola Island, BC; brother-in-law Lyle Connon (Terry) and sister-in-law Pat Labossiere and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two granddaughters. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Herman Prior Seniors Center, Portage la Prairie with reception to follow.
