CHRIS THIEVIN Suddenly on January 1, 2007, Chris Thievin passed away at his home. Chris leaves to mourn his family, his parents, Garnet and Bunny, brother Joe (Nadine), Kristin, Michael, his sister Penny (fiancée Sheldon Appell), their children's nanny, Christy Brown (CCB), and their children, Amber-Dawne, Tyler, Devan, Koenraad, and Laurel. He also leaves to mourn his roommate Christie Smith and her son Keith. Chris had numerous friends too many to mention, but you know who you are and how much he cared for you all. Chris grew up near Balmoral on a farm and attended Balmoral School, later graduating from Stonewall Collegiate. Chris gave 100 percent to everything he set his mind to. He began his work career in the local garage in Balmoral, then to Texaco in Stonewall, and his final place of work where he had been for many years, All-Fab. Chris worked hard and gave his all, working his way up the corporate ladder. He loved his job and those he worked with, sharing many of his stories with family and friends. Chris grew up loving the outdoors, camping with his family, and spent the last five months renovating his home. Chris loved to ask his older brother Joe for information, and looked up to him a great deal. He also loved his sis as he would call her and never a day went by where he didn't email her to tell her he loved her and that she was his favourite sis! Chris loved his nieces and nephews and as they got old enough, they could ride over and visit their Kool Uncle Chris who always had cool stories to share that he always said don't tell your parents! Chris was the baby of the family and was very close to his parents, living in his Grama and Uncles past home, next door to his parents. He spent a lot of his free time asking his dad and mom for information, they were his best friends, and shared many laughs and stories. Chris loved to garden, loved his computer and fixed anyone's who needed it. He loved the net and found the best deals on ebay! Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, he will always be remembered for his warm spirit and his smile. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for Christie and Keith Smith at Royal Bank, Stonewall or Winnipeg.
