LLOYD MCKAY COMBS Lloyd McKay Combs passed away December 7, 2006 at the Delwynda Court Personal Care Home, in Deloraine, at the age of 85. He was born on the family farm in the Thirlstane district on March 6, 1921. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Isobel; three sons, Murray (Karen) of Deloraine, Clark (Shannon) of Elgin and John (April) of Ashern; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Nicolas, Joshua, Kyle, Ryan, Jillian and Cassandra. He is also survived by two brothers, Herb and Ken of Deloraine and one sister Kathleen McKenzie of Winnipeg; three nephews, Don, Brian and Scott McKenzie and one niece Alana McKenzie and their families. Lloyd loved two things in life - the farm and family and was very devoted to both his entire life. A graveside service was held at the Deloraine Cemetery on December 9 with Reverend Mark Satterly officiating. Active pallbearers were Murray, Clark, John, Kyle and Ryan Combs and Murray Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd and Isobel's cousins. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Delwynda Court Personal Care Home or to a charity of choice. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
