Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICHOLAS MILLINCHUK Peacefully on January 1, 2007, with his family by his side, Nicholas passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 83 years. Nick was predeceased by his parents Steve and Sophie Millinchuk; in-laws Annie and John Hnatuik; his wife Lavinia Millinchuk, and sister Helen Trudgen. Nick will be sadly missed by his son Randy Millinchuk (Tammy); his only grandchildren, Brittany and Wesley Millinchuk; his sisters, Kay Stacherski (Dick), Rose Podruski, Evelyn Batenchuk (Ted); his only brother Jim Millinchuk; sisters-in-law, Hannah Jackman, Doreen Froese, Olive Winters (Frank), as well as his long-time friend Bernice Post and family. Nick was born on March 6, 1923 in Sandy Lake, Manitoba where he met his wife Lavinia, and later moved to Winnipeg, where their only son Randy was born. Nick served overseas in the Army, during the Second World War. He worked for AC S Contracting from 1949 to 1981. He retired at the age of 58, and was able to travel with his good friend Myron Rakowski (Kongo), and other family members. He loved to play golf, cook, make wine and beer, and be with his friends and family. He was a very gifted jack of all trades, and gave freely of his time and expertise to help family and friends. Nick was a great Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and a wonderful friend, and will never be forgotten. We love you Gramps! Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 8, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., at Klassen Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
