Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILHELMINA CROWE (nee LAZENBATT) October 3, 1913 - January 5, 2007 Mina passed away peacefully at Middlechurch Nursing Home. She is survived by her son William (Carin); sister Jean (Robert) Murray; niece Marea (Paul) Rockburn, nephew Peter (Josephine), niece Wilma (Richard) Radey and their children, David and Paul; and nephew Victor (Alma) Black; her sisters-in-law, Esther Lazenbatt, Sarah Short; and nieces and nephews, Christine, Judy, Bill, Sean and Mary in Ireland also survive her. Mina was born in Belfast N. Ireland. She attended school and was employed there before marrying William Crowe in 1934. A year later William Jr. was born. She lived in Ireland until immigrating to Winnipeg in 1949. Her sister Millie was living in Winnipeg, making the move easier. She was employed in Winnipeg until her retirement. Mina and Bill returned to visit friends and families in Ireland on three occasions following their retirement. Her husband William died on May 4, 1982, and she missed him every day thereafter. Mina was always a kind and giving person; she was a wonderful mother, homemaker and cook, as well as being a gifted seamstress. One of her loves was reading Charles Dickens whose books she knew from back to front. She had many close and dear friends in Winnipeg and Ireland. Many happy times were spent in our home with Mina being a warm hostess. She missed many of these friends in her later years and now she will be sadly missed by those remaining. We would like to thank the staff on S2 at Middlechurch for the care and kindness provided to Mina during her time with them. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. A memorial service will take place Wednesday, January 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
