JOSEPH ROLLO On January 4, 2007, Joseph Rollo passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Throughout his one year battle with cancer, Joe's wife of 26 years, Perry, provided support, love, care and patience. He was predeceased by his mother Erminia and daughter Lisa. Left to mourn the loss of Joe are their children, Richard (Karen), Tracey (Terry), Crystal (Jeff), and Rob (Anne) along with the grandchildren, Jesse, Kaylyn, Bailey, Nicholas, Kelly, Hayley and Kenady, and Jenna; as well as two stepgrandchildren, Aimee and David. Joe was born in Winnipeg on January 17, 1933. He worked at Air Canada for 25 years until he retired. He loved his retreat at the Oasis Campground where he would spend hours tinkering until the children and grandchildren would show up. He was always ready to BBQ a hamburger or hotdog for anyone. Joe was an avid ten pin bowler. He spent most Friday nights at the German club with the boys sharing laughs, strikes and a beer or two. Joe always made time for the grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. He was there on a phone call notice to help out when he could and always loved the hugs that the kids saved just for him. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, giving man. His warm smile, charismatic personality and quick wit will live on. You are in a better place now Grandpa. Many thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at CancerCare, and palliative care who helped to ease the burden. Special thanks to Dr. Ron Padua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. A mass will be held to celebrate his life on Monday, January 8, 2007, 11:00 am. at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home And Reception Centre
