GORDON (GORDIE) JAMES Suddenly on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, Gordie passed away at his home. Gordie will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 55 years, Edna; son Barry; daughter Judy; son-in-law Roman, and granddaughter Eaden whom he adored. He also leaves a brother, Bud, and sisters, Hazel, Lucille, Lindy, and Marion, as well as their families, and his many friends. Gordie was friendly and outgoing, always trying to make a friend of everyone he met, loving to be around people and telling stories. He was artistic and creative; a joker with a great sense of playful humour. Dad was generous not only of his time and energy, but loved giving away the needlework and other crafts he made. Gordie was a down-to-earth and sincere man with a real gentle spirit - a very passionate person who felt that if something was worth doing, it was worth giving your all. Gordie was a loving, caring husband, father, grampa, brother, uncle and friend who will live forever in our hearts and minds. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007 (viewing beginning at 1:30 p.m.) at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (South of the Royal Canadian Mint) with interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gordie's memory to Canadian Diabetic Assoc. or MB Heart Stroke Found. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
