EVELYN KATHLEEN NICHOL (nee FERRIS) After a long and rewarding life, Evelyn passed away peacefully at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Centre on January 7, 2007 at the age of 98. Evelyn was born in Carman, MB on November 26, 1908. In 1936 she married Harry and they farmed in the Sperling area until 1961 when they moved to the town of Sperling. In 1986 she moved to The Appleton Estates in Winnipeg. Evelyn truly valued her many friends, both in Winnipeg and the Sperling area. She was predeceased by Harry in 1973. Left to cherish her memory are son Jack (Kay), grandchildren Keith (Chris), Glen and Brian (Cheryl), their mother Karen Nichol, great-grandchildren Derek and Justin and son Gary (Carol), grandchildren Dayna and Reid (Daria). In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Sperling Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Deer Lodge, 3 South and Meadowood Manor for their care and compassion. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
